Vitamin D Deficiency In Infancy Linked To Schizophrenia

Researchers in Denmark have found that infants suffering from a vitamin D deficiency are at a much greater risk of developing schizophrenia.

UPI reports that the study looked at vitamin D levels in blood samples from 2,602 newborns collected between 1981 and 2000 who were later diagnosed with schizophrenia and found that babies with lower levels had a 44 percent higher risk of developing the condition.
