The business revival committee which was made by the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is expected to result in a new financial package for the traders in the valley. It is aimed to compensate the losses which business are facing since the last 15-16 months. After the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A, authorities have imposed restrictions in the Valley which was aimed to control the law and order situation in the union territory. This year due to COVID-19 induced lockdown economy of Jammu and Kashmir was further hit. Committee has already submitted the reports to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. He assured that JandK will soon get a financial package. Business community of JandK showed their gratitude towards LG Sinha. They are hopeful that people belonging to business community including-shopkeepers, hoteliers, transporters will get financial help soon.
India's permanent representative to the United Nations, TS Tirumurti has lashed out at Pakistan for harbouring terror groups on its soil. Indian envoy to the UN said that Pakistan is the nerve centre of terrorism and added the even its Prime Minister Imran Khan had admitted that some 40,000 terrorists were present in Pakistan. 'Pakistan is home to the largest number of listed terrorists, internationally designated terrorist entities and individuals, including Jamaat-ud-Dawah, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad and Hizbul Mujahideen', said Tirumurti. Referring to the United Nations’ 26th report of the Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team concerning ISIS, the ambassador said that there is a clear acknowledgement that the leadership and funding for terrorist entities like Al-Qaeda, ISIS emanate from Pakistan. Several people suffered burn injuries after hydrogen-filled balloons exploded during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday celebration in Chennai on September 18. A spark from fireworks resulted in explosion of gas-filled balloons. All of the injured persons were rushed to a nearby hospital. The whole incident was recorded on a mobile video.
