Hope Hicks - the former communications director for President Donald Trump - will return to the White House next month, almost two years after she left her post.

In a statement, the White House said that Hope wouldn't be part of the Communications Department again, but that she would be working closely with the president's son-in-law and advisor Jared Kushner in a number of strategic areas... And according to the New York Times, those projects would include Trump's reelection campaign… Hicks, who was then just 26 years old, was hired to work for Trump when he campaigned for president in 20-15..

She became his campaign press secretary and then eventually his White House communications director in 20-17... 31-year-old Hicks was one of the many administration officials that were interviewed in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election and any possible collusion with the Trump campaign..

Hicks also was caught up in a controversy surrounding former White House staff secretary Rob Porter, another close Trump aide, whom Hicks had been dating.

She worked to defend him when charges of domestic abuse against his two former wives emerged.

Porter was ultimately forced to resign.

Hicks resigned in 2018 with an in-front of cameras send off by the president.

She went on to work for Fox as the chief communications officer.
