General Electric to Furlough Half Its Engine Manufacturing Staff

General Electric is furloughing 50 percent of its engine manufacturing staff for four weeks to offset the financial impact of the coronavirus.

This will impact thousands of jobs within the jet-engine unit, and it comes just 10 days after they announced they would be cutting about 10 percent of the same division last month.
