A 50-year old woman from Telangana’s Nizamabad district travelled 1,400 km to get her son home.

The woman, who is a school teacher, travelled to Nellore in Andhra where her son was stuck at a friend's house due to the lockdown.

She started her journey on Monday morning and came home with her son on Wednesday evening.

She had been given permission to travel by the ACP of Bodhan town.

This comes at a time when India is under a 21-day lockdown to tackle the COVID-19 crisis.
