War on Corona: WB testing under scanner; battle escalates in Maharashtra

As India battles COVID-19, an analysis of the crisis in Maharashtra and West Bengal is a study in contrast.

While the tally of positive cases in Maharashtra has crossed over 5,600; West Bengal presently has around 456 total positive cases, the lowest among the larger states.

However, there is a stark difference in the testing parameters adopted by the two states.

While Maharashtra has conducted over 90,000 tests since the outbreak with over 7,000 tests in the last 24 hours alone questions have been raised about the 'under-testing' & misreporting of COVID-19 data from the state of West Bengal.
