This morning - we're getting a better picture of what high school athletics will look like when they reopen at schools june 1st.

Joining us now is the executive director of the alabama high school athletic association - steve savarese.

Steve - good morning.

Pause let's start with practices being allowed to start tomorrow.

What are some of the social distancing guidelines in place to keep everyone safe?

Face coverings for all involved?

Now when it comes to contact sports like football, those players will eventually start tackling and so on.

Some people might be saying, that's closer that six feet - involving a number of players going back and forth to their homes - and wondering if this would actually be potentially spreading the virus.

What do you say to that?

Competitions won't be allowed until june 15th.

What will that picture look like?

These guidelines are subject to change right?

How do you envision the opening of fall competition like football - and spectators in the stands?

Steve savarese - executive director of ahsaa.

Thanks for joining us.
