Battling dreadful coronavirus, an Assistant Police Inspector with the Mumbai Police, Kiran Pawar, came back to home after getting completely recovered of COVID-19.
Flowers were showered upon him by his neighbours in Mumbai on May 23.
He arrived to his native place after completely recovering from COVID-19.
Legendary Indian classical musician and Padma Vibhushan awardee Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan passed away in his Mumbai residence on January 17. The celebrated musician was an Indian classical musician in the Hindustani classical music tradition, belonging to the Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana. He was laid to rest in Mumbai with full state honours. Comedian Kapil Sharma appeared before the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police on Thursday to record his statement in connection with alleged cheating and forgery case against car designer Dilip Chhabria, an official said. The Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) of Mumbai police had unearthed a major DC Avanti car financing and forgery scam and arrested Chhabria in the case last month. "During the investigation, it came to light that comedian Kapil Sharma had also been allegedly duped. He showed willingness to share information in connection with the case. Accordingly, he appeared before the CIU on Thursday to record his statement," the official said. The alleged scam came to light when the police seized a DC Avanti, a sports-car manufactured by Dilip Chhabria Design Pvt Ltd, in south Mumbai on a tip-off that its registration number was bogus. As per the data released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), India on January 18 reported single-day spike of 13,788 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. 145 deaths in the same period pushed the COVID-19 toll in the country to 1,52,419.
