While speaking to ANI in the national capital on July 20, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief in Delhi, Adesh Gupta spoke on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Raghav Chadha's allegations that construction of BJP office near Minto Bridge led to blockage of sewage and water pipelines. He said, "AAP, Delhi government are factories of lies." "Delhi government's recklessness is to be blamed for death of a person near Minto Bridge," Adesh Gupta added.
The cases of coronavirus continued to surge in India, however, fatality rate dipped to 1.99 %, informed Health Ministry. National Expert Group on vaccine administration has also been constituted by Centre. Maharashtra continues to witness surge of over 10,000 COVID-19 cases taking total tally in the state to 5,35,601. Delhi reported 1257 COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths on Aug 11. Karnataka recorded 6,257 COVID-19 cases today. While, Tamil Nadu reported 5,834 COVID-19 cases and 118 deaths so, total number of cases in the state is now at 3,08,649, including 2,50,680 discharged, 52,810 active cases and 5,159 deaths. Andhra Pradesh recorded 9024 cases. Country has conducted over 2.5 crore sample tests so far.
Embassy of Israel on August 11 contributed state-of-the-art artificial intelligence based technologies and high-end equipment to the AIIMS, Delhi. Contribution was made as a part of Israel-India cooperation to fight ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. "It is the most advanced medical equipment that we developed in Israel especially for fighting COVID-19. Some of it was contributed by companies, they just love India and some of it was purchased with special fund allocated by our Foreign Minister," said Israel's Envoy to India Ron Malka.
Congress leader Sachin Pilot returned to Jaipur, Rajasthan on Tuesday. Pilot said he has not demanded any post from the party and there should not be any vendetta politics. On Monday, a meeting between Sachin Pilot and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had signaled an "amicable resolution" of nearly a month-long Rajasthan political crisis ahead of the crucial assembly session beginning August 14. The Congress leader said that he did not make any statement against the party and had gone to discuss issues with the Congress high command in Delhi. I have not demanded any post from the party, he added. Pilot, however, said he was shocked at statements made against him."I am sad, shocked, and hurt due to the kind of words used against me," Pilot said. He said there should not be any space for “personal ill-feelings” in politics and there should not be any vendetta politics.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati expressed affirmation over BJP's move over erection grand statue of Sri Parshuram. While speaking to ANI, Mayawati said, "I have come to know through media that BJP said that if it's needed then their government will erect a grand statue of Sri Parshuram. If it happens, our party won't oppose but welcome it. BJP government shouldn't be late in doing this. I think they should complete it soon. Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia slammed BJP over MCD schools in Delhi. Sisodia said the BJP government should hand over MCD schools to Delhi government if they are unable to run them. Sisodia’s comment came after reported news of teachers not getting paid and textbooks not getting distributed in the schools. Sisodia visited one of the schools on Tuesday. On Monday, Sisodia wrote a letter to urban development minister Satyender Jain, saying, “I have received complaints that the schools run by municipal corporations, especially North Delhi Municipal Corporation, have not yet distributed textbooks to school children. The allegations against the civic body, if found true, are serious and no one can play with the lives of young children... While Sachin Pilot has made truce with the Congress party, questions are now being raised on how he would get along with CM Gehlot. During the peak of the crisis in Rajasthan, several Gehlot backers had launched a tirade against Pilot and his loyalists.
