Newsom promises wildfire mitigation amid COVID-19
California Governor Gavin Newsom on Thursday said there has been a "significant increase" in wildfires this year compared to last year and encouraged residents to mitigate "the loss of lives and property" due to wildfires "in the same spirit" of COVID-19 mitigation.
