More than 400 book bags and school supplies given away in Rome

Quite the line of vehicles showed up on Saturday in Rome for the 4th annual Back to School Book Bag Giveaway put on by D & D Carpets of Rome and the Lake Delta Kiwanis Club

Are so many questions on parents minds these days.

One of which is getting school supplies.

But as news channel two's gary liberatore shows us....some parents in rome checked that off their list this morning.

As kids say goodbye to summer theyre getting ready to say hello once again to school and once again, just like the end of last year, itll be at home (jennifer simmons, rome parent) .

None tc : 30:32 "definitely going to be a challenge especially with me going to school full-time and then i have four kids who we know home skilled virtually in rome for six weeks so definitely be challenging."

What's also challenging, especially this year, is finding the money for everything school related... (felicia sanquiche, rome parent) tc : 17:16 "i am right here with jake up and rebecca, we are so excited and really grateful with this event."

This is the fourth annual book bag giveaway in rome....all put together by d&d carpets of rome...and the lake delta kiwanic club.... tc : 25:25 "our aunts, his mother, my mother, my wife, weve all kind of come together..."

Now that the school supplies have come now it's time to worry about theoir makeshift classrooms.... tc : 42:34 "working from home from 8:30 to 5 so its gonna be hard having a kindergartner and a third grader be on a computer for five hours a day while im also on the computer for eight hours a day for six weeks."

That right back there!

For at least the first six weeks will be at home...in rome... tc : 42:47 "weve set up an office upstairs in our house to try to make it a little school room environment for the kids."
