A mishap occurred at a railway station in Madhya Pradesh during construction work.

While blasting work was being conducted, debris flew violently at the Dundi rail station in Jabalpur.

One of the pieces of rubble hit overhead equipment and bent the pole.

No injuries were reported.

Commenting on the incident, railways officials said that all precautions had been taken and it was a minor accident.

Priyanka Dikshit, chief public relations officer - West Central Railway, said that an 'experienced' company had been handed the work and what happened was not a case of lapse.

However, more precautions would be taken in the future to ensure such incidents do not take place again, she added.
