A pedestrian luckily avoided being hit by a truck smashing into a shop behind him in southwestern China.

The terrifying CCTV video, filmed in the city of Zhaotong in Yunnan Province on September 15, shows a truck smashing into a closed shop to force itself to stop seconds after a man walking past.
According to reports, the driver realized that he could not stop the overloaded truck after rain left the road slippery, so he crashed it into a closed shop to force it to stop.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
The truck driver was blamed for the incident and the case is under further investigation.
