This is a shocking moment a pretty, tattooed young Turkish woman is manhandled to the ground by police for not wearing a face mask for which prosecutors want her jailed for up to 9 years.The officers on the other hand have been told they acted correctly after an investigation also by prosecutors, and will not face any sanctions.Rana Bati and her friend, named only as Zeynep K., ended up in an argument with police in the Kadikoy district on the Asian shore of Istanbul over the fact that she was not wearing a face mask.Zeynep filmed Rana screaming as she tried to resist being detained by two officers, who manhandle her to the ground while other passers-by urge them not to be so rough.An investigation was conducted by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor for the incident that happened on 19th August.As a result, Rana was accused of resisting arrest and insulting public officials, who said that she swore at them and showed them her middle finger.Zeynep was also accused of insulting public officials.
