Ahead of the voting for the post of Speaker post, RJD MLAs created ruckus in Bihar Vidhan Sabha on November 25. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav showed rulebook to pro-tem Speaker Jitan Ram Manjhi. During the ruckus, pro-tem Speaker Manjhi said, "Those who are from other House aren't voting for Speaker election, but no problem in their presence." Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Education Minister Ashok Choudhary were present in the Assembly. The NDA has unanimously declared BJP MLA Vijay Kumar Sinha's name as the candidate while Mahagathbandhan has declared RJD MLA Awadh Bihari Choudhary as its candidate for the Speaker post. Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Vijay Sinha elected as the Speaker of Bihar Assembly. The winter session of the 243-member Bihar Assembly is underway until November 27.
Massive ruckus was witnessed in the Bihar Assembly during the election for the post of Speaker. Protem Speaker of Bihar Assembly Jitan Ram Manjhi, countered Yadav’s claim. ‘Those from the other House aren’t voting for Speaker election, but there is no problem with them being present here,’ Manjhi said. Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister of India, commented on the border tension with China, at the 18th edition of the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit. While issuing an assurance that the Narendra Modi administration would not allow any violation of India's territorial integrity, Singh said that talks with China on multiple levels were underway, but there was no guarantee about the outcome. He hailed the bravery of Indian soldiers at the Line of Actual Control, and said that security forces had been given a free hand to drive the Chinese army back in case of aggression. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said India will offer production-linked incentives for high-efficiency solar modules to boost the generation of electricity from renewable sources which has the potential to generate an annual business USD 20 billion. Speaking at the RE-Invest 2020 conference, he invited global investors to join India's renewable energy journey. "There are huge renewable energy deployment plans for the next decade," he said, adding that these are likely to generate business prospects of the order of around USD 20 billion per year. "Today, India's renewable power capacity is the fourth largest in the world. It is growing at the fastest speed among all major countries," he said. Renewable energy capacity will rise to 220 GW by 2022 from the current 136 Giga Watts (GW), he added. At present, renewable energy capacity is about 36 per cent of the country's total electricity generating capacity.

He also distributed relief materials among them. The cyclone 'Nivar' hit the coastal areas of Puducherry and affected Tamil Nadu on wee hours of Nov 26.
Mortal remains of former chief minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi was brought to Rajiv Bhawan (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee) in Guwahati on November 24. He passed away on November 23 at GMCH in Guwahati. Gogoi was undergoing treatment at GMCH for post-COVID complications. His health condition was in critical stage.

Abhinanandan will be contesting from from Hathua constituency in Gopalganj district. The 53-year-old aspires to become the Chief Minister of Bihar. Abhinanandan is contesting against four-time MLA Bihar's social welfare minister Ramsevak Singh. Pathak said, "I have filed nomination from Vanchit Samaj Party in Hathua constituency. This is battle for progress. After winning the election in Hathua constituency, I will try to become the chief minister of the state with people's blessing by touching their feet. On this seat it is going to be battle between the rich and the poor."
BJP MLA from Pirpainti, Lallan Kumar Paswan on November 26 handed over transcript of alleged phone call he received from jailed Lalu Yadav, to police. RJD chief allegedly asked him to not to vote in the election for State assembly Speaker's post. "We decided to lodge an FIR against Lalu Prasad under the Prevention of Corruption Act, based on his telephonic conversation with me, where he tried to tempt me and asked me to be absent from Bihar Assembly. This is how these people are playing with democracy," said MLA Paswan.
