'Will raise tricolour when...': Ex-J&K CM Mufti's fresh attack on Centre

Ex-J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti intensified her attack on NDA government.

She held a press conference with erstwhile flag of J&K state on her table.

Mufti said she would raise Indian tricolour after J&K state flag is restored.

She said, β€œThis is my flag.

I've kept it here.

When this (state) flag returns, we will raise that flag (tricolour) too.

Our (state) flag has been robbed by dacoits.

We won't raise any other flag until then (return of flag).

That flag is part of our Constitution.

They smashed that Constitution to smithereens.

They ripped this flag apart on the day that there was a rape in Jammu, and they carried that flag and raised slogans in support of the rapists.

They desecrated the Constitution, and other symbols.

What do they expect from us?

This is our flag.

This (state) flag connects us to that (national) flag.

Our ties to the national flag are not independent of this flag.

When we are handed this flag, we will raise that flag too.” Mufti was released on Oct 13, 2020 after spending over a year in detention.

The PDP chief was detained when centre scrapped J&K's special status in 2019.
