Man dead after shooting at Macon apartment complex Tuesday night

A man is dead following a shooting at an apartment complex Tuesday night.

Our top story tonight at 6: bibb county investigatiors are working their 45th homicide of 2020, making it the county's most deadliest year on record.

Deputies say 24-year old malik young was shot while getting out of a car at pine ridge apartments on clinton road around 10 last night.

Young was unresponsive when deputies arrived on scene.

The bibb county coroner's office later pronounced him dead at the scene.

We spoke with bibb county sheriff david davis to get answers about this case, and the county's crime rate this year.
