Rohit, Ishant's comeback in Australia series uncertain: Virat Kohli

Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli on November 26 said that there is uncertainty about whether Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma would be able to make it to Australia series owing to their injuries.

Virat said, "If Rohit and Ishant had travelled to Australia, it would have increased their chances of playing the Test matches.

Someone like Saha who also got injured during IPL is here with us and he is doing rehab here.

He is on the right path to be fit in time to play the first Test.

The same is the case with Rohit and Ishant as well, it would have given them a chance to get themselves fit and be available for the Test series." "Right now, there is so much uncertainty about whether they would be able to make it at all or not.

It definitely would have been very helpful if they were here and doing the rehab here just like Saha is," said Kohli during the virtual press conference.

Guiding principle was being fearless: Team India Bowling Coach

Bowling Coach of Indian Cricket Team, Bharat Arun said, "We had formed this 5-bowler theory five years ago and on most occasion, we played woth five bowlers abroad... So, in team's opinion Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri were extremely firmed that we need to play with 5 bowlers to be successful abroad. The guiding principle of this team was being fearless and being honest. So in persuade of excellence, we're not scared or not in fear of losing games... During the last test match, there were discussions of having extra batsman but it could have given negative impact on all of us. We knew, Washington Sundar due to his past records that he's good at bat and then we said lets go with 5 bowlers."

Those are my shots, will keep playing them: Rohit Sharma on his dismissal

Australian bowlers put India on backfoot as they have removed both the Indian openers on Day 2 of fourth test at Brisbane. Both Shubham Gill and Rohit Sharma lost their wickets as India closed at 62/2 after thundershowers prevented the play to advance on the second day. On his shot selection, which got him dismissed, Rohit Sharma said that those are his shots and he will keep playing them. Sharma further said that his focus is to be on top of the bowlers once he is on the field. "It's not coming out of nowhere, it's a shot that I play and I have played it very well in the past. So it is something I really back myself to do all the time. That's the kind of role I play in this team. And yes when it gets like that, it looks bad but that is something I don't look too much into. My focus has always been to make sure once I am in I want to make it count and make it big. But having said that there is a process I would like to follow and the process is to make sure that once I am in I am on top of the bowlers. It was unfortunate dismissal but as I said those are my shots and I will keep playing them," said Rohit Sharma during the post match press conference.
