PM Modi praises Brazil man 'Vishvanath' for promoting Geeta, Vedanta
While addressing the nation during 'Mann Ki Baat' on November 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "India's culture and scripture have always been a centre of attraction for the entire world.
Some people came to India in search of them and stayed here for life.
While some returned to their countries as cultural ambassadors of India." "I got to know about the work of Jonas Masetti, who is also known as 'Vishvanath'.
Jonas gives lessons on Vedanta and Geeta in Brazil.
He runs an organisation called 'Vishvavidya' which is located in hills of Petropolis about an hour's drive from Rio de Janeiro," PM Modi added.
"After completing mechanical engineering, Jonas worked for his stock market company.
Later, he was attracted towards Indian culture, especially towards Vedanta.
He studied Vedanta in India and spent four years at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam in Coimbatore.
I congratulate Jonas for his efforts," PM further stated.

If you have watched Fatakeshto (film series), you would know," he said. Chakraborty added that, he wants to make a glorious West Bengal like Prime Minister Narendra Modi said. Mithun Chakraborty joined BJP ahead of assembly elections in West Bengal. The state will go to polls on March 27th.
Passionate about water conservation and nature, Mayur Shah said that he was speechless when Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted his comment during Mann Ki Baat on February 28. Mayur Shah said, "My first reaction was my jaw dropped, I was speechless. We are ardent listener of Mann Ki Baat but never in the dream had we thought that he will pick and highlight what I wrote. We feel extremely blessed." Mayur had requested Prime Minister to highlight and appreciate people of Assam. Mayur said, "I had requested PM to use his platform and congratulate people of Assam for water conservation efforts in Kaziranga that has led to growth in waterfowls there, it is helping lot of migratory birds."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his radio programme, Mann Ki Baat on February 28 had answered a question asked by Aparna Reddy, who hails from Mohali. Expressing happiness over it, Aparna Reddy said, "I was at a wedding when someone called and told me that Modi ji had answered my question in Mann Ki Baat, I liked what he said. I think earlier also he had mentioned somewhere in 2018 that he regrets not learning the ancient Tamil language."Aparna had asked, "You have been PM for so many years and were CM for so many years. Do you ever feel that something is missing?" To which PM Modi replied that h considers not learning Tamil as one of his shortcomings. "I pondered over this and told myself that one of my shortcomings was that I could not make much effort to learn Tamil, the oldest language in the world. I could not get myself to learn Tamil," said PM Modi.

A bus conductor in Tamil Nadu, who has planted over 3 lakh saplings in the last 30 years using his own money, is garnering appreciation on social media. Marimuthu Yoganathan is a bus conductor in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation. Yoganathan in Coimbatore distributes saplings for free of cost to passengers travelling in his bus. He spends 40% of his salary to take care of these plants. Seeing his dedication, a friend from US donated 3 acres of land to Marimuthu where he works daily after duty. A known eco activist, Yoganathan has been awarded "Eco Warrior" award by Vice-President of India, 'Unsung Hero' award by wildlife film-maker Mike Pandey and film actor John Abraham in "Timberland" function held in Delhi.
A picture of PM Modi being blessed by an elderly woman was shared by the leader on his social media handles on February 25. This woman is none other than the natural farmer R Pappammal, 105, who was awarded the Padma Shri for her exceptional work in agriculture and organic farming.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a road show in Coimbatore ahead of his rally in the city. During the rally, PM Modi said that PM-KISAN scheme in its 2 years has benefitted 11 crore farmers. "For many years, the farmers of India demanded MSP rise. It was our government that had the opportunity to bring a holistic MSP rise," he added. He further said, "In the past 7 years, our efforts for farmers are aimed at giving them a life of prosperity and dignity. From kisan health cards to soil health cards, we want to bring a paradigm shift in the agriculture sector."
