Private schools in Karnataka facing financial crunch, says association

Karnataka's Private Schools Association says that financial crunch has gripped schools, with some of them on the verge of shutting, due to non-payment of fee by parents.

"There's no support from govt.

Over 60% of parents with their children in budget schools have not paid fee.

There are over 20,000 schools in the state and out of that around 18,000 are budget pvt schools that depend on monthly fee," said Association President Shashi Kumar.

Schools remain closed in the school due to extant COVID situation.
