‘PDP’s agenda to make J&K a bridge of peace between India-Pak: Mehbooba
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti said that BJP-PDP alliance collapsed because she never compromised with PDP’s agenda.
She said that she didn’t agree to the things the BJP government wanted her to do and that’s why the alliance ended.
She added that PDP’s agenda is to make Jammu and Kashmir a bridge of peace between India and Pakistan.
She also criticised the BJP-led central government over the three farm laws which have triggered protests by a section of farmers.
“If the laws are not accepted by the farmers, can they be beneficial to them.
If you bring laws which are not acceptable to people, you are disrespecting the Constitution of the country,” she said while addressing a party function in Srinagar.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti asked the Centre to start a dialogue with Pakistan to stop the bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir. The PDP president visited Logripora Aishmuqam area of in Kashmir’s Anantnag district to express her condolences to the family of J&K Police Constable Suhail Ahmad who was killed in the terrorist attack in the Baghat area of the city on February 19. Besides Ahmad, another police personnel lost his life in the Baghat attack. Mufti said, “Till when the people of J&K, its policemen and youth will continue to sacrifice their lives. This (the Kashmir issue) is a huge issue and this issue should be resolved so that the bloodshed in J&K stops and the people here live in peace.” She added, “The BJP government should think and start the process of dialogue with Pakistan, so that the bloodshed is stopped.” Watch the full video for more.

Strategic Srinagar-Leh highway opened by Border Roads Organisation (BRO) after over 58 days. The highway was closed due to the thick layer of snow. Snow clearance of Zojila Pass was a big challenge owing to snow accumulation of 30-40 feet, threats of avalanches and inclement weather conditions.
