Bird Flu: Avian flu confirmed acros 7 states, monitoring increased as fear looms|Oneindia News

The Haryana police have cracked down on protesting farmers at a toll plaza near Haryana's Karnal, ahead of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's visit to a nearby village.

A BJP legislator from Rajasthan has made a controversial statement that the raging farmers' agitation around the national capital could lead to a nationwide bird flu problem since the protesters are eating chicken biriyani to spread the epidemic.

With more states confirming cases of avian flu and many still probing the unexplained deaths of wild birds, crows, and poultry, the central government has intensified its coordination with local authorities to contain the spread of the disease.

Ahead of the roll-out of Covid-19 vaccines from January 16, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with chief ministers of all states on January 11.
