Member of English Advisory Board of the Sahitya Akademi, Malashri Lal speaks exclusively to OneIndia News at Jaipur Literature Festival.

Malashri Lal is also a member of Bharatiya Jnanpith’s advisory committee.

Her specialisation is in literature, women and gender studies.

She has authored and co-authored many books which include In Search of Sita: Revisiting Mythology.

Speaking to OneIndia exclusively, she remembered the first ever Jaipur Literary festival and applauded how it has grown exponentially over the years.

She also introduced her new book, Betrayed by Hope, a play on Michael Madhusdan Dutt that she has co-authored with Namita Gokhale.
