Chelsey Mori managed to capture the moment lava was spewed metres into the air and crashed back down on the slopes of the fissure vent.
She said: "It was a magical moment to witness and hear the eruption of Fuego.
Seeing red lava crystals burst out of the volcano was the cherry on top.
It was truly a memorable experience.
I started as a solo hiker and left with nine friends!
"It was a tough hike, to be honest, very uphill, but well worth the pain and fatigue."
