These images of Dolley Madison are re-touched and enhanced from high-resolution scans taken of the original daguerreotypes located at the Greensboro History Museum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The life mask of Dolley was cast by J.

I Browere in 1825 at her Montpelier home in Virginia.

Dolley's mask is the only one Browere cast of a woman and is located at Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y.

Her mask is currently not on display to the public.
