AFP launches another Op. after cyberattackers threaten to sell off data | Oneindia News*Special

Autralia is facing one of the most significant cyber attacks in its recent history.

Data of around 9.8 million Australians are on the sale.

Optus, Australia's second largest telecommunications company, had announced on September 22, that identification details of up to 9.8 million customers were stolen from their customer database.

The details, dating back to 2017, included names, birth dates, phone numbers, email addresses, and for some customers, addresses and driver's licence or passport numbers.
