Video shows positions abandoned by retreating Russian troops
Wrecked planes, trucks, and ammunition cartridges littered the grounds of an airport in Chornobaivka on the outskirts of southern Ukrainian city of Kherson on Wednesday (November 16).
The airport, captured by the invading Russian troops in February, became a major base for the Russian army in Kherson region, headquarters to a helicopter regiment, ground troops, re-supply base and logistics units.
But a halt in the Russian offensive left the airport within range of the Ukrainian artillery, rockets and drones.
