CIGEO: deep geological storage facility for radioactive waste
A formal request for authorisation has been submitted for the creation of the Cigéo centre for the storage of the most radioactive waste in France (Bure,Meuse), a new important step for this contested project, which will not, however, be given the green light for several more years.
