His death was confirmed

Rossington's cause of death is not yet known, but he had a history of heart problems.
He had a heart attack and subsequent surgery in 2015 and an emergency heart surgery in 2019.
Online tributes began to surface following news of Rossington's death.
A tragic stampede at the Lairai Devi temple in Goaâs Shirgao village claimed six lives and left around 80 injured during the fire-walking ritual of the Lairai Zatra festival. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant confirmed the fatalities and pledged full support to victims' families. Five of the injured are critical and on ventilator support, according to state health minister Vishwajit Rane. Prime Minister Modi extended condolences. The Lairai Zatra is one of Goa's most important Hindu festivals. Deadly stampedes are a recurring risk at large religious gatherings in India.
