IAF pilots use night vision goggles to rescue stranded Indians from airstrip in Sudan |Oneindia News
On the intervening night of April 27 and 28, an Indian Air Force's C-130J heavy-lift aircraft rescued 121 people from a small airstrip at Wadi Sayyidna which is about 40 km north of the Sudan capital of Khartoum.

The U.S. has imposed new sanctions on Sudan following allegations that Khartoumās military used chlorine gas during its war with the RSF. The sanctions restrict arms sales, financing, and exports to Sudanās government for at least one year, though humanitarian aid and agricultural products remain exempt. Washington calls the attacks part of a wider crisis that has killed tens of thousands and displaced 13 million. Sudanās government denies the claims, calling them āpolitical blackmail.ā The U.N. labels Sudanās war the worldās worst humanitarian disaster, with 25 million in need of food aid.
