Russia-Ukraine War: ‘Biggest Blow’ in Counteroffensive yet to come, says Ukraine | Oneindia News
Ukraine began the first stage of its long-rumoured counteroffensive two weeks ago to reclaim land occupied by Russian forces.
Ukraine on Monday claimed that it had driven Russian forces out of an eighth village in its two-week-old counteroffensive while a defence official vowed that Kyiv's "biggest blow is yet to come" despite tough resistance from Russian troops.
Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Maliar said Ukrainian forces had retaken Piatykhatky, a settlement on a heavily fortified part of the front line near the most direct route to the country's Azov Sea coast.
Coalition of the Willing: 26 countries agree to deploy troops or equipment to post-war Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the number of countries willing to participate and the contributions on the table a "victory".
