A temporary ceasefire and safe corridor will be established in Gaza to facilitate the release of Israeli-American soldier Edan Alexander, held captive for 583 days since the October 7 attack. Hamas announced his release as a goodwill gesture ahead of Trump’s visit, though Israel confirmed no commitment to a broader ceasefire. The corridor will be active from 12 PM local time.
