18-year-old Salvador Ramos killed 19 students, two teachers and his grandmother in Uvalde, TX, on May 24, 2022.

On Aug.

7, Ramos' 17-year-old cousin, Nathan Cruz, was arrested for allegedly planning to follow in his footsteps, ABC13 Houston reports.

Cruz, who was already on probation, reportedly told his sister while intoxicated that he was going to "do the same thing" as Ramos.

His sister also claims that he threatened to shoot her in the head.

Cruz's sister told their mother, who says she also heard him talking to someone on the phone and trying to buy an AR-15.

The mother called the police and told them what had been happening, at which point they arrested Cruz.

Cruz has reportedly denied the allegations, but has been booked at the Bexar County Jail.

He is facing two terroristic charges for making threats against a school and his sister.

The family lives right "across the street from an elementary school," according to ABC13 Houston
