Iran gunmen attacks 9 foreigners near Pak border days after missile strikes | Oneindia
Gunmen in southeastern Iran, near the Pakistan border, carried out an attack that resulted in the killing of nine foreign nationals on Saturday, as reported by Iranian media.
The incident occurred more than a week after both countries engaged in deadly cross-border fire.
According to the Mehr news agency, the assailants targeted a house in the Sirkan neighbourhood of Saravan city in Sistan-Baluchistan province.
As of now, no group or individuals have claimed responsibility for the attack.
Seven workers were tragically killed in a terrorist attack in Pakistan's Gwadar port city on May 9. The assailants, unidentified gunmen, targeted a residential area near Gwadar Fish Harbour, leaving seven dead and one injured. Despite the severity of the incident, no group has claimed responsibility. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and Home Minister Mir Zia Ullah Langau condemned the attack, vowing to bring the perpetrators to justice. The government is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident. This tragic event follows a recent escalation of violence in Balochistan, including the abduction of nine bus passengers by militants in Nushki district and a foiled attack on the Gwadar Port Authority colony. The government remains committed to combating terrorism and ensuring the safety of its citizens.
