Israel has eliminated IRGC Aerospace Force Chief Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh in a precision airstrike on a secret underground command bunker. The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed that over 20 senior Iranian military officials, including commanders of Iranās drone and air defense units, were also killed in the strike. The targeted facility was reportedly being used to coordinate an imminent large-scale attack on Israel. Hajizadeh, a key architect of Iranās missile and drone programs, had previously overseen major offensives including the April and October 2024 attacks on Israel and the infamous 2019 drone strike on Saudi oil facilities.
