Russian Drones Strike Ukraine: Destroys Lviv Research Institute, Injures 2 | Oneindia News
On the night of June 19, Russian forces launched 21 Shahed-131/136 strike drones targeting Ukraine.
Ukrainian air defense successfully downed 19 drones across multiple regions, including Kherson, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, and Lviv.
In Lviv Oblast, all 5 drones were intercepted, but not before one struck a residential area, injuring two civilians and causing significant damage to a research institute and other buildings.
This attack underscores the ongoing conflict and the resilience of Ukrainian defense forces.
Starmer's comments come a day after it emerged that the US and UK had made the decision to allow Ukraine to use partly British-made Storm Shadow missiles to strike targets deeper inside Russia.
