Former Lord Chancellor Sir Robert Buckland has become the first Conservative MP to lose his seat as Labour’s Heidi Alexander is elected MP for Swindon South.
Conservative chair Kevin Hollinrake says Angela Rayner has "already admitted her guilt" after revealing she owes more tax on her Hove home. He claims the deputy prime minister has "misled the world of politics" and says her actions go beyond tax avoidance, adding: "This is not lawful. It’s outside the rules.
