In an exclusive interview with ITV News, a man who was stabbed as he tried to help in the Southport attack in which three young girls died has described how he thought he was going to be killed.
John Hayes says he doesn't feel a hero and wished he could have done more but spoke about how he ran to help when he heard children screaming at the community centre on Monday morning.

There was no evidence of "two-tier policing" in the police's handling of riots that erupted after last year's Southport murders, a new report by MPs has found.
