Jenna Ortega Believes She Auditioned for Zendaya's Role in 'Dune' When She Was 15 | THR News Video
Jenna Ortega almost had Zendaya's role in the 'Dune' films. The 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' actress said in a recent Buzzfeed interview that she was pretty sure she went out for the role when she was 15 and auditioned for a part in the film.
"I think it was Chani, I think it was Zendaya's.
But they weren't saying that, everything was very secret." Ortega added that she remembers being "really excited" for the possible opportunity citing Denis Villeneuve as "one of my favorite filmmakers."
Jenna Ortega describes to THR how working on 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' was so different than any other project, saying: "It's challenging to insert yourself into such a personal story for somebody else." Plus, she talks about the possibility of directing in the future.
