Russian President Vladimir Putin has launched a scathing attack on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, calling him a "toxic figure" who is destroying Ukraine from within.

In a wide-ranging interview, Putin claimed Zelensky is deliberately blocking peace talks to avoid elections, knowing he has “no chance of winning.” He accused the Ukrainian leader of issuing “absurd and politically motivated” military orders, leading to what he described as "catastrophic losses" for Ukraine’s forces.

Putin also suggested that Ukraine is on the verge of internal collapse, with growing tensions between its political leadership and military command.

The Russian leader argued that Zelensky’s grip on power is sustained only by Western support, warning that his time is running out as Ukraine struggles with mounting battlefield setbacks.
