Sunita Williams homecoming as Jhulasan, Gujarat, her ancestral village, prepares grand celebrations for her return from a nine-month ISS mission.

Villagers have prayed for her safety, lighting an Akhand Jyot at the Dola Mata temple.

A grand procession, dhun (prayer chanting), and fireworks will mark the occasion.

Sunita Williams, originally from Mehsana, is returning with astronaut Butch Wilmore after a delayed mission.

The village hopes to welcome her soon, honouring her space achievements, including her 62 hours of spacewalks across nine missions.
