Tina Knowles reveals secret battle with stage 1 breast cancer.

The businesswoman, author, designer, and mother to Beyoncé and Solange Knowles opened up about her recent battle with breast cancer while promoting her new book Matriarch , which was officially released to the public today.

Seventy-one-year-old Knowles revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer after doctors discovered two tumors in her left breast during a July 2024 mammogram, two years after she had missed a scheduled screening.

After undergoing surgery and a breast reduction, Knowles was declared cancer-free.

She is now using her story to encourage other women to always attend their screenings on time, saying in an interview with People , 'I think as women, sometimes we get so busy and we get so wrapped up and running around, but you must go get your test.

Because if I had not gotten my test early, I mean, I shudder to think what could have happened to me." Lady Gaga adds seven new dates to Mayhem Ball tour in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

After two packed weekends wowing crowds at Coachella, Lady Gaga is expanding her upcoming The Mayhem Ball tour with seven new shows in two newly added cities.

While California had initially been left out of the original touring lineup, the singer announced new stops in San Francisco and Los Angeles earlier today.

The West Coast shows will run through the end of July into early August, with Gaga playing San Francisco's Chase Center on July 22, 24, and 28, and Los Angeles' Kia Forum on July 28 and 29, and August 1 and 2.

Fans can purchase tickets for the new dates when presale kicks off this Thursday, April 24, followed by general on-sale starting Tuesday, April 29.

Today's holidays: Earth Day, National Jelly Bean Day, National Girl Scout Leader's Day, and School Bus Driver Appreciation Day.
