Israel has issued a stern warning that it is prepared to raid the Gaza-bound Freedom Flotilla ship ‘Madleen,’ which carries humanitarian aid and activists, including Greta Thunberg. The ship, which departed Sicily on June 2, is loaded with food and medical supplies meant for Palestinians. The Israeli navy says it will intercept the vessel if it nears Gaza’s waters, citing national security. Thunberg, along with actor Liam Cunningham and MEP Rima Hassan, say the mission aims to challenge Israel’s blockade and support Palestinian resistance amid worsening humanitarian conditions.

Wes Streeting sharply criticises Israeli military action in Gaza, calling the situation “utterly horrific and intolerable”. The health secretary says the government is working “intensively” to unblock aid corridors and to bring an end to the “bloody conflict”. Streeting stops short of calling it a “genocide” but says MPs feel “the same frustration as people marching in the streets”. Report by Faragt. Israel launched a massive airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs on the eve of Eid al-Adha, targeting what it claims were Hezbollah drone production facilities. The assault triggered huge explosions, engulfing buildings in flames and sending civilians fleeing in panic. This marks the most intense Israeli strike on the Lebanese capital since the November ceasefire.
