Trump In Epstein Trouble: A major rift has appeared within the MAGA movement as supporters turn on President Donald Trump. The controversy ignited after Trump publicly defended Attorney General Pam Bondi, a move seen by many conservatives as a dismissal of concerns surrounding the recently unsealed Epstein files. This defense has triggered an unprecedented backlash from his own base.
The fallout has been swift and visual. Influential conservative figures have condemned Trump's stance, and viral videos have spread across social media showing die-hard supporters burning their MAGA hats and other merchandise in protest. This public display of disillusionment signals a deep fracture within what was once Trump's most loyal demographic. As Trump scrambles to control the narrative with a 400-word post on Truth Social urging unity, even figures like Elon Musk have taken public jabs at him over the issue.
Sensing a critical moment of weakness, the Democratic party is moving quickly to capitalize on the Republican infighting. Former President Barack Obama is set to return to the political frontline, headlining a major fundraiser in New Jersey this Friday alongside DNC Chair Ken Martin. This event, Obama's first since the 2024 election, is designed to rally the Democratic base and frame the GOP's internal conflict as a major liability ahead of the crucial 2026 midterm elections.
This report from Oneindia News breaks down the timeline of the MAGA backlash, Trump's attempts at damage control, and the strategic moves being made by Barack Obama and the Democrats. Stay tuned for the latest updates on this developing story in US politics.
