Matt Rife takes over haunted Warren Occult Museum after caretaker’s sudden passing
Comedian Matt Rife and YouTuber Elton Castee have officially taken over one of the most infamous properties in paranormal history—the Warren Occult Museum.
The Connecticut home, once owned by Ed and Lorraine Warren, houses hundreds of haunted artifacts, including the real Annabelle doll, and inspired terrifying films like The Conjuring and The Amityville Horror.
After the museum closed in 2019 due to zoning issues, the collection remained locked away until recently, when the “Devils on the Run” tour began showcasing the items across the U.S. Now, Matt and Elton plan to revive the property with guided tours and even overnight stays, but their new role comes with a chilling twist—they don’t actually own the artifacts.
According to Tony Spera, the Warrens’ son-in-law, the haunted objects are only leased to them, meaning they’re responsible for safeguarding over 750 items, including one of the most feared dolls in the world.
The purchase comes just weeks after the sudden death of Annabelle’s former caretaker, sparking fresh rumors about the doll’s deadly curse.
