Avani Lekhara is an Indian Paralympian who won a Gold Medal in Tokyo 2020 Paralympics in Women's 10m Air rifle standing.Para Rifle Shooter. She is India's first woman to win a Paralympic Gold Medal, and achieved this feat at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games while also setting a new Paralympic Record and equaling the World Record. She is currently World No 5 in Women's 10m Air Rifle standing SH1 and she also participated in the 2018 Asian Para Games R2 - Women's 10M Air Rifle Standing, R3 - Mixed 10M Air Rifle Prone, R6 - Mixed 50M Rifle Prone and R8 - Women's 50M Rifle 3 Position. She has been supported by GoSports Foundation through the Para Champions Programme.
