The station is owned by the Hearst Television subsidiary of New York City-based Hearst Communications, as part of a duopoly with Lexington-licensed CW affiliate WCWG. The two stations share studios on Coliseum Drive in Winston-Salem and transmitting facilities on Sauratown Mountain in Stokes County. On cable, WXII-TV is carried on channel 11 in most areas of the market.
