WTO rules against China retaliatory tariffs on US imports

The World Trade Organization (WTO) has found that China's retaliatory tariffs on American products due to Washington's levy on Chinese steel and aluminum broke global trade laws. The WTO's panel of judges has ruled the duties imposed by Beijing on over $3bn worth of US imports, including pork and fruits in April 2018, violated articles of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.
