Sensex, Nifty fall for 2nd day; IT, banking shares weigh

Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty declined for the second consecutive session due to selling in banking, financial, and select IT shares. The Sensex dropped by 0.19% to close at 66,282.74, while the Nifty fell by 0.22% to close at 19,751.05. Weak global markets, weak revenue guidance in the IT sector, and higher-than-expected US inflation data were the main factors affecting the sentiment. Additionally, rising US bond yields and losses in Asian markets also impacted domestic equities.
