Gold plunges Rs 400; silver declines Rs 300

Gold prices in the National Capital New Delhi dropped by Rs 400 to Rs 60,950 per 10 grams, influenced by weak global cues, according to HDFC Securities. The decline continued from the previous trade when it settled at Rs 61,350. Silver also fell by Rs 300 to Rs 73,300 per kilogram. In the international market, gold and silver traded lower at USD 1,950 and USD 22.45 per ounce, respectively. Traders are awaiting cues from US macro data and Jerome Powell's speech at the IMF.
